Death of Freddie Strasser

The sad news has just come to us of the death of Freddie Strasser. Freddy, after a highly successful career in business, became a late graduate of Regent's  College School of Psychotherapy and participated in a group conducted by Emmy which led to a lasting professional and personal relationship with her, and latterly with me. Freddie was instrumental in making it possible to set up the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, and with his nephew also set up the mediation course at Regent's College that has proved highly successful.  He has written several books, the most influential probably being Existential Time-Limited Therapy.  This was written with one of his daughters, Alison Strasser, who is currently setting up existential therapy training in Australia where she lives.  Alison was able to be with her father just before his death, which occurred in Wellington Hospital, London, this evening.
