New developments

I have neglected posting for a very long time, as a glance at the gap between this and my previous post will show. The reason is principally "Autism spectrum disorders: life-time perspective". I have been working on the manuscript of this book for about seven years, and have finally finished it (although I am sure that the reviewers will have lots of advice about changes). It is in the hands of my publisher, Jessica Kingsley, at the moment and so out of mine.

The next few months can therefore be given over to promoting our new developments with Dilemma consultancy Ltd., which has now become part of a larger group, also owned by Emmy van Deurzen and myself, the Septimus group. Septimus also includes our new Existential Academy, which will be opening an office in London soon, and hosting a new course in Existential coaching. The Existential Academy will also be taking Dilemma training over from Dilemma consultancy, with new courses in the pipeline in existential psychotherapy and also in Asperger syndrome, a new departure. The first Asperger course is likely to 'Recognition and diagnosis for health professionals' All of the existential academy courses will have an online component, with additional tutoring either being provided online or face to face. For practice-based courses, there will also be face to face supervision, possibly supplemented by online contact. Some of these courses will be free. Others will be by subscription only.

Dilemma publishing will be our next project once the Existential Academy is fully online and once our other major project is completed: Ask the Therapist a new self-help and peer support website, which will link to the Virtual Therapist, where potential clients can meet and have e-therapy or e-supervision from the therapists who rent space there.
